Letter from the President
Welcome to the Bradley University Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. This website was created and designed to provide information and resources to students, alumni and parents.
The poet William Pollard said, “without change there is no innovation, creativity or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable.” As President of the undergraduate chapter, I actively strive to instill this thought in the minds of our men.
The Bradley Chapter of Delta Upsilon has accomplished great things in the recent past including raising $60,000 for St. Jude children’s hospital in the past two years, winning the IFC All-Sports Cup, and getting the largest fraternity rush class. However, there is still much to be done. With the support and motivation from our Members, Associate-Members and Alumni we can achieve even more.
On August 4th, we sent eight of our brothers to the Leadership Institute in Orlando. It was an exciting and enriching opportunity to meet DU brothers from across the country. We learned a lot in those three days and brought back some great ideas to implement on campus. It motivated us to raise our chapter to another level and become better men as a whole. At the 2008 Leadership Institute in Houston, Texas, the Bradley chapter recievied the Sweepstakes Trophy, (Delta Upsilon’s top honor awarded annually to the best DU chapter in North America) and it is our goal to achieve that honor again this year.
I firmly believe the Bradley chapter will continue its drive from last year and remain dominant in everything we do. We look forward to the challenge of surpassing the success of recent years and bringing the Bradley chapter to a new level of excellence.
